Not Me! Monday

My word it has been a long time since I’ve taken part in this fun blog hop hosted by MckMama!  Well that’s because I haven’t had a thing to share over the past couple of months … nope, Not me!
I most certainly didn’t take off to the OR Coast to do a delivery last week and the next morning convince the rest of the family to drive out, in a separate, clunker of a car.
While at the Coast, I most certainly didn’t get into the 4 wheel drive RAZR w/ my friend and scream mercilessly as he drove round and round, up and down over hill and dale. I didn’t once shout at the top of the lungs or call his names … nope, I’d never do that! I won’t admit to it being one of the best times I’ve had in a long time either …  nope!

Not ME! Monday

Did you spend Sunday in bed watching TV all day followed by eating gummy bears on Sunday Night? No Way.. Not me!! Here is a chance to get all the things you did NOT to this past week, off your chest and have a great time doing it! This week I MOST CERTAINLY did NOT spend every morning on my couch, with my kiddo snuggled next to me and the laptop open while watching the Tour de France.

I most certainly did NOT spend part of that time yelling at the TV scream during the aforementioned race. I know they can't hear me.

I also did NOT let my girl strip down to her panties and run through the water fountain on Thursday because she was dressed and didn't want to get her clothes wet. That would be inappropriate.

Not ME! Monday

It's a chance to get all the things you did NOT to this past week, off your chest and have a great time doing it! So read on and follow along!

This week was a tough one for me. I did NOT have my meds for half of it! Seriously! If you didn't, you can read about it here and here, but what qualifies this for a Not ME Monday mention is that I did NOT realize until a day later that I left all THIS out!

I am NOT the mother that tells her child to go to bed and then get so busy with super important things like Twitter, Facebook and Blogger that I never get down to say good-night.

I am also NOT the mother that FORGOT to be the Tooth-Fairy for her 11 yr old son that STILL believes in the tooth-fairy. I did NOT give him $3 because the Tooth-Fairy forgot and then pay him an additional $2 when he left the tooth AGAIN for the lame Tooth-Fairy. That damn tooth cost this Mom a LOT! ::sigh::

I most certainly did NOT start my son on an $5 a week allowance today for cleaning the dog poop daily, that would be downright mean of me!

I did NOT realize late last Tuesday night that the check I wrote to clear a ticket 5 weeks ago didn't clear, meaning I probably never sent it to the Court, meaning that my Drivers License had been suspended for ohhh say 3 1/2 weeks; Nope, THAT would be totally irresponsible of me, and I'm just NOT that irresponsible.

To fix said situation I did NOT spend Wednesday morning dropping my son at school, then driving around town to get cash and drive thru Starbucks for a Grande Tazo Chai Latte on my way to meet a friend at the DMV office; park at the far end of the parking lot and get into her truck so SHE could legally drive me to the Justice Court (which is conveniently in the same building as the Sheriff's Office), to pay said ticket (and accruing fines), and NOT risk having my truck "run through the system" while parked in that wonderful lot and get ticketed for Driving While Suspended. That first part of my morning would have been TOTALLY ILLEGAL to do and I'm just NOT that type of person Queen. I am proud to say that after much cash and driving around, I am NOT driving around illegally anymore. (did ya like how I turned THAT around ::snort:: i thought you did)

When the family and roomie went out for dinner tonight, I did NOT knock over half a glass of Plum Wine as I was running after my child to see his old Principal who was walking past the restaurant. I did NOT even stop to clean it up. .... NO JOKE!!

I did NOT have an Adult night away with my sweetie, at a hotel, with lots of friends, dancing and alcoholic drinks, and then when we got home, lay down for a 4 hour nap because I was tired.

This week I did NOT allow my child to play hooky from school so we could do a "family field trip" to watch the Rose Festival Fleet come in after visiting the KGW Studio on the Square.

I did NOT warn my child that eating pizza for breakfast, after having it for dinner, would be a bad idea for one that has a lactose intolerance.

My child did NOT promptly run to the bathroom AFTER I told him that we had 20 min before we would leave for the aforementioned trip and upon exiting the bathroom, inform me that he should NOT have eaten the pizza.

I did NOT tell my child "I told you so", (really ... I didn't!!) I DID tell him to go lay in bed, and did NOT notice that he fell asleep for a few hours.

Have I told you that I do NOT believe in natural consequences?

(I sure do, really, really, really I do.... how else will he learn?)

We're into the final 3 weeks of school.

Father's Day is approaching, which happens to be the 3 year anniversary of Mark's return Home with the Lord.

I know that my attitude wasn't the best this past weekend, life sucks sometimes...

Not much of a Not Me! Monday, but it it me, it's my life, i DO have to live with it.

• I most certainly did NOT spend over 10 hours working in my yard on Thursday and Friday.
• I most certainly was NOT sore as hell on Saturday from all the work I did in my yard Thursday and Friday.
• I am NOT thrilled that kiddo has a friend, albeit a grade below him in school, that he now spends nearly every waking moment after homework, playing with.
• I did NOT go out Saturday night and stay out late, I did NOT stay up even later here at home, and I most certainly did NOT wake up Sunday morning with a bit of a headache, wishing I had NOT had that last drink the night before. I'm WAY to old to do something like that (yeah right)
  
• I am NOT blessed to live in an amazing Nation, where I can believe in my own God, publicly declare my Faith and live in relative comfort knowing that there are Men and Women willing to put their life on the line daily for me and my family.
• Finally, I am NOT thoroughly excited to be hosting my FIRST giveaway!

• I have NOT been thinking about this post for the past 7 days
• I am NOT totally wiped out from a 2 day garage sale
• I have NEVER been so grateful for people that love shopping at Garage Sales, nope, I'm NOT thrilled even one iota that they bought the ceramic set my mom bought Mark and I for our wedding, yes, the one that we NEVER used.
• I did NOT think I needed any sunscreen Friday. Nope, I would surely be fine out in the Sun all day.

Not Me! Monday

This past week I did NOT eat chips and salsa nearly every day. I also did NOT eat Hummus nearly every day, because that combination with nothing else to balance it surely is NOT healthy. Right??

I did NOT celebrate when my Tweets started coming through (after they hadn't been) to my phone during MckMama's Great Mouse Fiasco on Saturday night, and then stay attached to my phone following the drama.

I did NOT feel like I am the Queen of the House of Chaos on Mother's Day.

My NOT so amazing son did NOT wake me up and make me a wonderfully colorful paper Purse.

My sweetie did NOT go out and bring me a wonderful breakfast this morning from Cafe 501 that included NOT so wonderful Peppermint White Mocha.


Finally, I most certainly did NOT feel the presence of the Lord and my late husband when the Doves showed up on Mothers Day morning.

1. I have NOT been to bed well after midnight for 7 days in a row now.

2. I definitely did NOT forget to turn off my Twitter feed last night to my cell phone.

3. I did NOT learn at 3am that Lance Armstrong was off to Rome Italy via a Tweet that came over my phone.

4. I did NOT hit snooze twice this morning, which meant that I most certainly didn't wake up my son late, which didn't make him late for school.

5. On the way to school, while NOT dressed in yoga pants and a dirty sweatshirt, with undone hair, I did NOT remember that I had a meeting at 10am, and I did NOT look at my clock to see that it was 9:45am.

6. I did NOT slow down to pass the Police Officers that were gathered down the street, run into the house, get dressed and throw my hair up and make-up on quickly ... neither did I toss on deodorant quickly so as to prevent the man I was meeting with from fainting.

7. I definitely don't think that I need to get to sleep earlier, I'm am NOT a night owl and I do NOT have responsibilities to take care of during the day.
