I am writing today to express my frustrations with you. I wish that you would sincerely take this to heart and see what you are doing to Tim and your daughter.
This weekend is a perfect example of "things gone wrong", you see, you promised your daughter that she would go see Mimi and Papa this weekend and then come spend the week with us. Then that changed to going to see her Aunt and having a sleepover there before coming to our house, and then last night, on the way down, you decided to bring her straight here instead. Ya know, when we told you that we weren't able to make it up on Friday you said that you had set up a TA Training on Friday and Saturday and that you would need to find a babysitter for your daughter; how is it you were able to deal with a "Peanut that is being difficult today" if you were out Training?
I'm happy to say that the negativity she showed towards me disappeared w/ in 5 minutes of you leaving however TODAY she is very, very, VERY upset that she did NOT see Mimi, Papa or her Aunt and cousins. As a matter of fact, she has her bag all packed and at least once an hour since she woke up, she has brought all her belongings upstairs saying "Mommy said we're going, I'm ready". She calls us LIARS and screams and stomps her feet when we say "You're staying here, Mommy is on a trip". She honestly thinks you are back at home and going to take her to see her grandparents. In fact, she thinks you're going to be home when she gets there Tuesday, even though she is having "special Sissy time" with her older sister. She told me this morning "Mommy is taking me to school Wednesday" and was VERY upset when I explained that Mommy wasn't home and would be gone all week. I took the brunt of that maneuver for you, you're so welcome. I'm used to being the bad guy, just add it to the list of lies I've told her.
Now, about the food she was eating when she arrived to our house, why is it ok for you to take her for Dairy Queen and feed her hamburgers, french fries and Blizzards but WE aren't allowed to do that? I can't recall the number of times over the past 18 months you have said "Oh she's supposed to be on a low fat diet", in fact SHE tells us she's not supposed to eat "that stuff" and yet you feed it to her yourself? Stop being so hypocritical.
Well, that's all for now, I need to go cook dinner for this crowd and unpack Peanuts clothes for the umpteenth time today. (oh ~ please tell me why you don't want me to wash her clothes, what don't I do right?). Oh... one final thing, this attitude I have, yeah, well I've learned it from your "snappity snap" daughter. Duuuuurrrrrrrrrrrr ....
Sincerely,
The Step-mother

I helped...
that's what I did tonight.
an old friend called,
she and her fiancee' have been having a hard time with some things,
so I jumped on the computer,
gave my credit card to a website,
and may have found her fiancee's daughters,
that have been missing for about 8 years.
Yes, it cost me about $50, that I really don't have,
and even if it were to put me NSF,
hearing them cry and thank me for getting them the info
was all the re-payment needed.
They didn't ask me to do it,
I was called because they needed to vent.
I truly believe in doing the right thing,
it's what we are challenged to do,
I truly hope he finds his daughters.
Please pray for them.
I'll update when I know more.
Have you helped?
Just because??

We ask Why Lord?
Please note, this post DOES have some graphic information in it, read on knowing that.
The week started Sunday with the news that "B" was in labor and having April-Rose. It quickly deteriorated into the reality that is today, the whole thing was a hoax, a scam. It leaves us with many hurts, questions and in some cases anger. Who is that anger with? "B"? God? Ourselves for "falling" for the con?
People ask how it could happen? How could someone be so cruel? How could someone "take advantage" of well meaning people that would pray for a sick child that isn't even born yet?
It happens, and the thing is, it happens in everyday life day after day. It's all over the media.
2 weeks ago, my sons school was rocked when we heard that a mother had pushed her two children off a 75 foot bridge, killing the 4 yr. old son and seriously injuring the 7 yr old daughter.
This past weekend, a 21 yr old woman, in her final weeks of her pregnancy, went to pick up clothing from someone that listed them on Craigslist, only to be murdered and have the unborn child cut from her womb.
We hear of Parent Volunteers taking the Soccer Club money; the Aide to an Elderly person cleaning out the persons Jewelry or checking accounts.
So is what "B" really any different? Unfortunately, not so much. She wrote a great story, and we believed it. It's that simple.
What she really did though, was bring together a large community that prayed together for an unborn child. How many started to pray for the first time and continued to pray daily when they heard that story? How many will pray for the first time for the family of Amanda Stott-Smith and her surviving daughter Trinity and continue to pray for them over the years to come? How many will pray for the first time for the family of Heather Snively as they prepare to bury their daughter and grandson and then continue to pray for them?
Is this the lesson that we are to get from these horrific events? More than the people that got hurt, I truly feel that we need to be praying for those that perpetrate these horrific acts. Can you imagine being in that much pain that you need to create an elaborate web of lies? How much time did that take to put it together and keep story lines straight? How much pain must you be in to throw your children, who are kicking and screaming, off a bridge in the middle of the night? How much pain must you be feeling to .... do you get my point?
These people, however much "hatred" we might hold towards them, deserve our prayers as much as the innocent victims.
Even Jesus when on the Cross, asked his Father to Forgive those that were killing him. We owe the same to these people and we need to pray for them.
Father, I ask that you watch over all those mentioned above. Father we know that YOU will be the one that ultimately they will face. No amount of punishment on this earth can make these situations better, but we can ask that YOU come into their lives; I ask that their hearts and minds be softened just enough to open up and let you in.
Father, I ask that you provide comfort to those that are hurt by these peoples actions. It may be from near or afar, but people are hurting. Allow us to forgive, allow us to pray, allow us to grieve, allow us to be angry, most of all, allow us to continue to love and trust that you are the Hope we need in our life.
We ask these things in your name.
Amen

Major Life changes.. God is GOOD!
Tim's letter to me:
I am still in awe when I think of you. It just boggles my mind that I've found you, especially since I didn't even know that I was looking for you! I was only thinking about a weekend of hanging out with a beautiful woman, and I was (to be totally honest) scared ****less! I didn't know what was going to happen. I have to admit that the Prison only made it worse that first night! That is, until we kissed and I held you in my arms that first time! The way you made me feel was completely relaxed, like I had come home and was supposed to be there. Being with you that first night was the most fun I've had in years and the biggest reason was because my heart and my soul were completely together for the first time in I don't know how long. Until that weekend I had no hopes of ever finding someone that I could truly call my soulmate, and now after it I feel lost when I am away from you. You're are so much more to me than a lover, or a girlfriend. I truly believe that together we can do anything that we set our minds to, because our hearts are so easily joined. I want to tell everyone that I have found my soulmate, and I am complete!

| Registered User | Marissa, I'm so happy for you guys! Congratulations. BTW...I was going to call you over the holidays when we stopped for gas on my way from CA to Seattle to see if you wanted to meet me. But, I had to do a potty stop that ruined my timing and we were in a huge rush. Would have loved to have seen you. Miss you. |

I met my husband in March of 86, engaged in September of 86 and married in July of 87. We are still very happily married after 20 years with three beautiful daughters, 17, 13 and 12. I would not change a thing. Can't wait to hear all the details of the wedding. |

| Don't touch my remote!! | Me too! And now I'm trying to type with happy tears flooding my eyes!! My bil lost his wife in a tragic car accident July 29, 2006. At the beginning of 2007, he & a woman started dating....though they knew each other for years. They fell in love & were married this last November. My mil told me that when he "brought" her home to meet the parents in August, she (my mil) fell in love with her & her son. My mil said that it was like Merlie (my late sil) put them together....they were already like a family (my bil also has a son). Everything happens in God's timing, not ours. I'm so incredibly happy for you and David. |

| questioning my sanity | Thanks Everyone! We set the date for our wedding, it will be July 19th. We're thrilled, his mom keeps saying we need to just save the money and elope David is excited, he's already told me that Tim will be Dad, not Daddy as Mark was. He chats online or on the phone w/ him daily, takes the laptop right from me and goes for it. Abigail (Tims daughter) was with Tim this weekend and she made him call us several times because she missed us and wants to see us. David and I are going to spend the weekend up there in 2 weeks, he has a 3 day weekend. It was great to hear her and David talking on the phone. They make quite the pair, she has Downs Syndrome and David w/ his ADHD Tim has interviewed for 2 jobs down here in Portland already (he lives up in WA~can't remember if I said that or not). He will be here full time the last week of February, I can't wait! We've got a lot to do to get the house and gardens ready for the wedding, we're having the ceremony here I think that's it for now...thanks again for the love, prayers and support you guys have given David and I...and now for Tim and Abigail as we join two families. It's such an amazing feeling....words can't express how I feel about all of it.
