Another God Is In Control moment...
My late husband was very active in the Haiti Ministry at our Church. In fact, this was to be our last school year here in the US, we had planned on moving there as Missionaries this next summer...
A week ago, our Haiti Mission Team returned home from a week working in Les Anglais, they were accompanied by two volunteers from Engineers Without Borders to help with the Mark Phillips Water Restoration Project. I receive the updates from the Team and read the one that arrived today only to see a name that was very familiar, the last name is not a common name at all, and it belonged to one of these engineers. I immediately sent an email off to Jim, the head of the Mission Team and asked if this guy was from Portland as Mark and I knew someone from Portland with this name in the Land Rover Club and he was an engineer...

I'm holding back tears as I try to process the likelihood of this happening. Our group had NO IDEA of the connection we had with this one volunteer, Kelly had NO IDEA of the connection between the group he was traveling with and Mark...
God~incidences happen so often...just another example...

| Yes, it is that Kelly Cxxxx. We were sitting around talking about weird licence plates and he said he knew someone whose plate was No Rivers! We all looked at each other! It was so amazing in the small world category. Anyway then we talked about Mark's involvement with Haiti and the kids there until we realized Kelly had not heard that Mark had passed away and so we had to tell him about his leadership of our GCS youth and going to New Orleans and what happened to Mark there. He was very sad to hear it all, but also was not surprised how Mark ended up getting us all to go to NO to try to help there.
