If I Could Write a Book...

Mark is leaving for Haiti~

My sister is being forced to close her business....

I am now a working mom....

I can't find a sitter for Friday night, and being a temporary single mom, I have a difficult choice to make if I can't find someone...

I want to grab up David and go spend the weekend with my sister and I can't do that...

life sucks right now

But what a glorious life it is. Mark is able to go to Haiti where he is desperately needed. You have a sister whom you can go to and a son to take with you. You have a job and a dilemma and no matter how hard our life may seem, it was gloriously given to us by our Lord.

It doesn't make things any easier or any less sucky, but how fortunate we are indeed...........

So sorry. But, I don't understand her response (the volunteer work part). Aren't both of you on job related things -- you're at work and Mark's on a mission trip which the church? Maybe I'm confused. Or maybe this is the sister that just doesn't make sense and it's not me that's confused.

I got off shift and was soooo upset, and then a voicemail popped up for me, and this is what I heard from Marks work partner:

This is the sister that is very difficult Lanel...much of what she says and does is just plain illogical and hurtful, moreso these days than others. I pray that when her baby is born, she has a better idea of what it's like to be a parent
