Balloon Release to Remember Still Missing Cedar Rapids Teen
The family and friends of missing Cedar Rapids teen, Erin Pospisil, will gather to remember Erin with a balloon release to be held Sunday May 31st at 1:00 PM.
Tuesday June 3, 2009 marks eight years since then 15 year old, Erin Pospisil was last seen in front of the home of a friend in the 1500 block of Second Avenue SE. Family and friends will honor the day with a balloon release this weekend. The balloon release will be held Sunday May 31st at 1:00 PM at the Van Vechten Park Pavilion in Cedar Rapids. (off 12th Avenue SE past 19th Street)
"Even though eight years have passed, the pain and frustration of not having her with us is just as sharp now as it was then.” states Carolyn Pospisil, step-mother of Erin Pospisil. "We are no closer now to finding her then we were the day she disappeared. Somebody knows what happened to her. We hope that by continuing to hold events in her honor that someone will remember something and come forward with that all important lead that will help us to bring Erin home."
